Chapter 29: Measure of our Creation

Each of us have a language or a name which represents the meaning inside of us.  God knows that name because he created us.  It is the measure of our creation. We have an inherent law that must be obeyed in order for us to become our most attractive, desirable, beautiful, functional, fully-contributing-to-the-good self  (think My Fair Lady--see movie clip below).  This is our personal code.  It is the key that unlocks us to become the best we can be.  Our personal Love Language is that name.  When our spouse speaks our name through that Love Language, we blossom.  We have utter and complete peace .

You need to see this complete movie to see the connection to what I'm talking about, minus Professor Higgins' arrogance.  For those who have seen it, this scene is just a fun reminder to conceptualize the connection.  When someone we respect speaks our name through that Love Language, we blossom.

Another way to describe this concept is to evaluate what things a flower needs to blossom.  It needs soil rich in nutrients, fresh water, sunshine, and air.  Not too much or too little.  Horticulturists can give us even more specific information on the best conditions in which a flower will grow and bloom at its very best.  All plants and trees need the same general ingredients but most of them require some ingredients that are specific to them (shade vs. full sun, temperature, specific nutrients, more or less water, etc.).  The same is true of each of us.  We all need the same general Love Language to be spoken to us but each of us has a more specific language that has been hard-wired into our spiritual genetic code.  It's not just what we need to receive but also what we need to do.  It is the privilege of being able to speak our own language to someone else who actually needs this language spoken to him to make him blossom.  This is the measure of our creation.

“For after it hath filled the measure of its creation, it shall be crowned with glory, even with the presence of God the Father;” ~D&C 88:19

“Wherefore, it is lawful that he should have one wife, and they twain shall be one flesh, and all this that the earth might answer the end of its creation; And that it might be filled with the measure of man, according to his creation before the world was made.” ~D&C 49:16-17

“And again, verily I say unto you, the earth abideth the law of a celestial kingdom, for it filleth the measure of its creation, and transgresseth not the law—” ~D&C 88:25
